Its definately and amel and definately has the RO borders. Looks a bit orangy like a creamsicle, but I know amels can be like that too..
Pretty though..
 
Looks like a textbook creamsicle to me...and no, not enough borders to be a RO. :)
 
yeah i didnt think it was an RO either. never seen one like that anyway. but there are SOOOO many colors that its hard to keep up. hahaha well hopefully ill be able to get it friday and get more pics. they said those pics are a year old.
 
This looks like a lovely creamsicle! I know it is a hybrid, but I just love the creams!
 
I was thinking it was a RO with small borders when I saw it too, but that it was a little more yellow than I had ever seen... I must be mistaken, but that was just my first impression as well...
 
I must have missed where the OP said it was a creamsicle. :shrugs: It seems like jumping to conclusions to assume it is or looks like a hybrid without knowing anything about it. It looks like the snake started as a possible RO and suddenly became a creamsicle. :laugh01:
 
Well I guess the point is, that most think it doesn't look like a RO so they're offering up their opinion of what it really is.
Obviously no one knows for certain...
 
Exactly. I just don't get why every light orange amel is potentially a creamsicle. I want to make sure "cream" doesn't become synonymous with "light orange amel", and newbies don't assume "cream" or "creamsicle" means any light orange amel cornsnake. Most of us know that it's a hybrid/intergrade, but someone new to the hobby might make the connection to light orange corns in general.
 
oh wow yall have totally lost this blonde!! hybrid? huh what. so its not an RO its maybe a cream or maybe an orange amel??? i didnt even know orange amels exsisted!!!! well i got her tonight!!!!!!!yeah!!!!! but she is in BLUE and i think she might be a he. the info i got is "she" came from a "breeder" here in austin texas but hes not really a breeder he is a herp vet that dabbles with it. and the lady i got her from said the breeder said it WAS a cream that came from cream and RO parents. but she always called it an RO. so basically i dont know what the hell i have but he/she is a one pretty RO/CREAM/ORANGE AMEL!!!!!!!!!! and i would post more pics but she/he whatever looks just like those pics but VERY PALE since the blue.
 
You have a creamsicle. Since the breeder specifically told you that it came from cream lines, then it is a hybrid and not a pure cornsnake. It is from cornsnake/Emoryi ratsnake bloodlines. Some breeders do not explain that to someone new. I love creams, and hybrids in general, but it's important to make that clear when selling snakes. There have been some people very upset when they learned that their "cornsnake" was not pure. I'm glad you're happy, you should be. She's very nice.
