I'm Me, Deal With It
I was looking for a used surfboard so I can take up surfing, and a local surf shop is selling this used 8'0" Black Pearl for $299. I was wondering is any of you surfers think there must be something wrong with it, or is it a good price, or well, just what do you think?? lol

8' is a good size for learning on. My first board was an 8-footer from Lost... Pretty sweet, and at 8' it is fairly easy to balance and control.

I don't know anything about that particular board, but check for dings and cracks in all the firberglass before purchasing, and having 3 fins is easier to control than a single fin.

Have fun and be careful. Big sets can be a lot more tiring than you think...

And don't be afraid to ride "re-forms" if the waves are bigger than you want to deal with while learning. Learning on small, reformed swells will be easier and less dangerous than trying to ride bigger waves as they come in.

well, just so you know if anyone cares, i bought it, lol. it has one ding on the bottom, but it is easily fixable with fiberglass resin. the guy threw in 2 things of wax and the leash. thnks for ur help

its signed and numbered on the bottom...here is a pic of the little ding and a pic of the signature
