Hey all.

I was wondering if there are any of you currently breeding the Western Fox Snake?
They are native to MN (where i live) and I think they are beautiful and it would also be a great snake to have for Herp events.

Western Fox snakes are considered a protected species in a lot of the states they are native in and therefore can NOT be sold, bartered or traded in those states. It would be best to check with your state before attempting to sell or purchase one.
For instance in IL you can catch and keep a Fox snake as a personal pet. You can even breed them but you can not sell the offspring or adults.

The Eastern's are quite a bit rarer yet. As far as I know, they are only found along the East coast of Michigan's Lower Peninsula in any real numbers. They are also scattered around the state in very small numbers. My best friend came across one at work. It was quite pissed and musked him. He was telling me how they found a Corn Snake. I told him that was pretty unlikely and showed him the picture of the Fox Snake. These snakes are pretty cool. Hopefully both species can make a comeback.

i am in on the east cost breeding registard fox snakes eastern and western.they are very calm great to handel .
