Well, she is still young (an 05) but you can see where the saddles are already fading a bit. Also, she has a solid white belly. I just thought it would be good to post a picture of her now, and then again as she matures.

got ya...snow diffused. Quite interesting. Should be interesting to see what this becomes...a blizzard like corn, or much pinker?

Ooooh . . . pretty!!! :) I want one.

I think I just thought of a future breeding project for my snow. How convenient that I also have a hypo blood. :grin01:

How about hypo diffused snows? :crazy02:

I am feeding her the heads off of the F/T rat pinks.
:-offtopic I have a non-feeder that I just couldn't get going despite all of my tricks. I had never thought of this, so I tried it and it worked. I am so freakin' happy.

I am glad to hear that you got her to eat! I rehabilitate quite a few non-feeders. I get a lot of them started on alternate types of rodents (rats, hamsters, etc). Most often, they will switch over to mice as they get older, but some of them simply have different tastes. ;)

Very interesting. I posted this photo of an Opal, which I suspect may be a Blood, but many people discounted it due to some side pattern. Many Bloods do have some side pattern that are “fractured”. What a perfect description of the side pattern that I found on your link.

This Opal has a totally white belly and an odd pattern. He has been bred to a Motley and Normals were produced. He is not a Striped and I would not say that he is a Banded, so what is causing the plain belly? I guess I need to breed him to a Blood next year and find out for sure. What would be the worst thing I would get, Hets for Opal Bloods? I will not be surprised if I get Bloods het for Opal. I can easily see an Avalanche or Opal Blood getting sent out by mistake from a Het breeding. The diffused pattern is very difficult to pick up on white snakes.

It will be interesting to see how the Avalanche, Opal Bloods and Blizzard Bloods turn out as adults. Sometimes more is not better, but the genes are interesting. I personally prefer the Striped Lavs over the Striped Opals.
