Does anyone know why aquarium manufacturers put that small quarter inch lip around the top interior of the aquariums. You know, the one that baby snakes always find and then circle around the top of the aquarium endlessly.
Recently one of my subadults managed to get up there and damaged one of his scales. It repaired itself after a shed or two, but I'd like to prevent it from happening again. Do you think a bead of aquarium silicon would do the trick? Removing the lip does not seem to be a viable option.
