Arwyn is here!

Kjay

Helloooooo out there!
Here are some pictures of little Arwyn--my new butter motley that just arrived here in Florida all the way from California! She arrived wonderfully, cool and alert and very lively. She is soooo pretty, just what I was hoping for. She moved into her new home tonight, where she'll have a week to rest and "move in". She weighs 8 grams, the same as Noodles!

Little cutie "butter ball" :)

So pretty!

Look close...she's in there!

Cool fish tank hidey place.

Just a cute pic of Noodles peeking from her tree. :)

Noodles' house.

My tank set up...plus a ShihTzu. Notice the "extra" tank currently unoccupied on the bottom? Hmmm, 3 weeks to the Tampa Expo. :)

beautiful! I personally love the butters :) I got my first ones about 2 months ago... I was amazed how much Better they looked in person LOL :) Congrats on your new baby :)

ummmm I am not sure when she was fed last but at 8 grams you Might want to feed her in like 3 days... Should be pretty settled in by then and I am sure will be hungry :) Dont want to wait too long on babies :)

Thanks, I will do that....she looks strong and healthy so I'll see if she wants a snack in a few days!

I am so glad you like her!!! She will eat no problem!!! Looks like she has great space and cool hides!!!

She looks great!

I've never been a huge fan of butters personally, but your Arwyn is simply a cutie pie! Congrats on your new baby! Hope to see you filling that unoccupied tank soon...:D

I found the black shelves in Lowes, in the kitchen storage area. It is like a bakers rack. They had one even longer and larger, but I just needed 4 shelves. It was around $50.00 or so. It will hold a 20L--I made sure to measure my gecko's tank, because eventually I will need larger tanks. It is very sturdy. The only drawback is that it's not the easiest to slide the tanks off of--have to be careful. I just pull them out and sit them on a little table in front. I don't think there is room for a light on top, but I use UTH so it didn't matter to me. Since I only have 3 tanks, it's pretty user friendly.

Little Arwyn came from Emanon...she was beautifully packed and shipped and arrived next day. I'm looking forward to watching her grow up and can't wait to see her amazing colors. :)

Congrats! Arwyn is beautiful! Makes me want one. Now i want a snow, blizzard, lavender, ghost, butter....

:D Thanks, I know the feeling! See that empty little tank at the bottom, already decorated and "waiting" for a new tenant? I am looking at hundreds of photos, and I think I want a snow for my 3rd, and (probably, hopefully?) last snake! Then I see an Okeetee and they are so colorful......then I see a lavendar and I want a purple one......then I see a bloodred and yes, that is what I really want.....but boy those ghosts are lovely.....and what about those pink motleys??? Oh boy!.....and then you have Miami's....oh my, they are beautiful......

It's hopeless. I write down a list of a few possibilities and before I know it, I have 10 morphs on my list. :eek1: So, I throw the list away and start over. Next thing ya know, 10 more! Tell me, how do you stop???!!!

LOL got myself some butter mots, butter mot strips, bloodreds, normal stripes, flurecent oranges, amel strip, amel, miami, normals, reverse okeetee, and then getting some candycanes, a bubblegum pair and a hypo lav ... LOL I didnt know we Could Stop :crazy02:

What is this 'stop' of which you speak? :grin01:
I gave up saying I had bought my last snake after #10

What a cute baby!! She's going to be a _gorgeous_ adult!

I just had an idea for a project for someone- Lavender Okeetees!!!!! Like, keep the purple, but with big thick black borders. Or big thick orange borders!

Hey Kjay, what part of Florida are you in? When does your beardie start brumation?

Nanci

Oh my, I do believe I am doomed. :eek1: Oh well, who needs living room furniture anyhow--just wasted space....space that could hold many more tanks....

Nanci, Bindi is a year old and he may go into his first brumation this year--sometimes the young ones don't the first year, and arent' encouraged to do so. I'll just let him tell me what he wants to do--I'm sure I'll see signs of it as the days get shorter and cooler (like in the 80's instead of the 90's lol!). I understand it is quite nerve wracking the first time they do!
