As Requested: Hatchling Setups

I had a few requests to post pictures of what I house my new hatchlings in. Im not a huge deli cup person, but my holdbacks get these. They only are in here for a few months, and always rotate in and out.

I also house my mandarin rats in these tubs. The only difference is, they have a second hide next to the water dish, and the second hide is a moist hide spot with moist sphagnum moss.

Nice setups... those clay pots are excellent for hides. I use them and the exo terra caves.

No pictures of pretty snakes IN their tubbies?

LOL don't worry about it. No pressure! The little taster you sent was awesome (a few of my firm favourites)... Any pictures of the G's setups?

Im an evil snake keeper. Generally, the "G's" are in the same type of tubs, insted of aspen, I use Eco-earth, or mulch, holds humidity great. I also give them ALOT of those plants, with not really a actual "hide", they don't use it anyway. :bang:

I know what you mean. We never put the baroni in an arboreal setup until almost 3ft. Even then the hides are used more than the branch.

What size of tubs do you use for adult G. oxy? We use 64ltrs for baroni but may need to build a bigger enclosre.

Great looking tuppers you have there for the hatchlings! We use the Iris ones that are just a quart or so larger for ours and the hides vary. Do you use whole clay pots or cut the edge off of one side? Just curious as I was thinking of using some as hides for our larger critters, but ended up deciding to make my own out of Sculpey Clay.

Thanks for posting the pics!

I use half of the clay pot, just break it into two. Thanks!

I have a few arboreal setups made, not sure on the size, they are big though.

Ryan those look great! My hatchlings get more or less the same thing except no plant. I don't like deli cups either except for feeding in.
