Awful dreams about my corn... (any dream analyzers out there?)

Ever since I got my corn I've been having vivid, sometimes terrible, dreams about her! They came by on occasion, though lately it has been a near nightly occurrence. I know dreams are just subconscious hullabaloo, but I also like looking at what they could possibly mean. Any old dream dictionary doesn't go into specifics, so maybe someone here on the boards could tell me what they mean? :p

Dream #1:
We were driving home with our new baby snake. However, she managed to escape and got into the car ventilation system. I tried to coax her out, but she just sat behind one of the vents, staring at me. Eventually she perished of unknown causes.

Dream #2:
She escaped from her viv and we couldn't locate her, so we went out and got another snake. When we returned home, she was back in her viv, somehow upset that we got a replacement for her. We decided to co-hab her with the replacement, but when I went to get the new snake, it somehow multiplied into dozens of snakes of different morphs! I ended up just dumping the snake pile into her viv and I suppose they lived happily ever after???

Dream #3:
Her viv was invaded by ants! They were everywhere and burrowing through the bedding. They also got all over her, but somehow weren't harming her, just crawling all over her. She, too, didn't seem to be bothered by them. (ants getting all over everything is a recurring dream of mine)

Dream #4:
Another escape! We went hunting around the house for her, but every time we found a snake, it wasn't her. As we continued our search, we just kept acquiring other snakes and throwing them in her viv and into Sterilite tubs. We never did find her. The viv side door also kept breaking. (misshapen doors is another recurring dream element)

Dream #5:
In this dream she wasn't a corn at all, but a different, rather large snake (a boa?). I was holding and admiring here. Nothing else really happened.

Dream #6:
She somehow found a gap in her viv and slid through it, though there was a sharp part and it tore open her entire right side! Somehow it didn't affect her even though I could see her insides. Still, I treated her with ointment and she went on living like nothing happened.

I assume these dreams are akin to parents having bad dreams about their children? XD Poor baby.

I am no dream analyst, but I would say it's pretty obvious that you are very concerned about taking good care of you little one. How long have you had her?

Last night I had a dream that Vera finally shed, only the shed became another snake like she was reproducing through budding or something. Only in the dream that was the way it was supposed to work because I just called my husband up at work was like "Honey, guess what, Vera finally shed! We are going to need another tank!"

Haha, that's nothing lol. I dreamed once I was cooking my snake, just charring the skin on the back, and eating the cooked bits. While he was alive. Woke up feeling disgusted and very nauseous, and promptly checked on him to make sure he was alive and uneaten o_O

I hope you aren't offended that I got a good chuckle out of some of your dreams! I like the one with the snake turning into dozens of snakes of different morphs! Wouldn't that be nice?

I agree with Jess. I think it just means you are thinking about her a lot and concerned with making sure she is happy and healthy.

Sounds like you're scared of her escaping and concerned about her care in general.

I don't think too deeply about dreams, they're usually just what I'm thinking about twisted into some kind of madness.(I had that song stuck in my head the whole time typing this, so I had to link it)

I once had a dream that I brought home a giant(7 foot lol ) hognose and showed it to Riddle, but they didn't like each other and the new hognose grew rockets and started floating like he was going to fight with Riddle...

I was sick, and half awake when I had this dream. I have the weirdest dreams when I'm sick.

I second the weird dreams when sick! Also, Vera just needs to go ahead and shed already so I will stop dreaming about it. I had a dream last night that Vera shed while we were sleeping, and when I went to check on her she was completely filling her 10 gallon tank and couldn't breath because it was squeezing in on her. Jeez.

I too sometimes have bizzare dreams about my snakes. There will be like all these snakes I didn't know existed living in my tanks with my known snakes. And also the snakes are breeding with snakes i didn't know were there and are making more snakes.

Apologies for the late reply; I'd almost forgotten I posted here! We'll have had her for 19 months at the end of March (goodness, time flies).

I feel better seeing that others have strange dreams about their snakes, too. :) Especially the multiplying snake dreams. My subconscious is fulfilling my desire to own more than one, I suppose.

Since posting the thread I also had another dream where she suddenly latched onto my left ear lobe with her jaws and wouldn't let go no matter how hard I tugged!
