Michelle's Candied Corns!
I got to baby sit tonight!!!
This is the newest edition to the wildlife sanctuary I work at :)
He just had a long trip from Florida, and today is his first day in Colorado!

No name yet, but he is a 4 week old British Columbian wolf. After an hour of playing, trying to eat my toes, and eating my hair, he just laid down and crashed. So I covered him with a blanket :3

Isn't he just adorable? :D

He's living in the house and visitor center for the next few weeks, once he is 8 weeks old he will move in with our Red Fox family. I can't wait to get pictures of that!
Once he out grows the foxes he'll live with two of the other wolves here ( they were SUPER excited when they met him through the fence yesterday).

I'm from BC!! I love our wolves, they are endangered and need all the help they can get!!
He's absolutely adorable!! Why was he rescued, do you know?

He came from another sanctuary where they had an "accidental" litter.
We took this one, and another sanctuary in Southern Colorado took two more.

He also has a name now, it's Keyni.
Pronounced like the Kenai peninsula, but the misspelling is purposeful, as we hope he will be a key ambassador for the wolves.

He fell asleep in my arms yesterday :3
It's going to be a long week away from him!!!

Hmm. It HAS been a while since I shared some pictures of the munchkinmoo. I mean big bad wolf.

These are already a few weeks old. I will try to take some this weekend when I bring my camera up. What happened to that puppy??????

I haven't posted pictures of Keyni in FOREVER (I got my own puppy DOG I have to worry about now lol). The pictures of the Holiday corns reminded me that last week my friend and I wore Christmas onesies and took pictures with Keyni, and I should post one to show you all how big he has gotten! LOOK AT HIS FEET! Little puppy has a lot more growing to do. At 8 months he only weighs about 65 pounds, he should put on another 40 pounds, and get a few inches taller/longer by this time next year.

He ALSO got his first road kill deer last weekend! So.. sorry for the graphic pics? Not any worse than feeding F/T mice to snakes lol

You can see that he has more growing to do by looking at the other two. The big one is Kekoa, and the sleek one is Sakara.
