I only bought this little fella a week ago. He doesn't look like my other corns, I was wondering if he may be a mixed breed....does anyone know?.....he's really pretty though, sorry about the poor pic quality.

Looks like a corn-king hybrid or a corn-milk hybrid. Definately not a pure corn, but very pretty snake. What did the seller claim him to be?

Yeah, I think that the head looks a lot like a king but the body pattern makes me think of a milk. I'm going to guess that it's a corn-king cross.

Very pretty.... That snake is pretty too.:D
I am not sure what the mix would be but it sure is interesting. It's a keeper.

Definately a hybrid of either milk snake or king snake.....I would tend to go with king snake x corn snake combo.... it sort of looks like a king more...

Just wondering...what did the seller say it was???

Here's one more pic of him...The man at the pet shop just said he was a banded velvet cornsnake imported from America and that he's a yearling........thats all he said.

Well I'm no expert on hybrids, but I think it looks like honduran x corn cross. This is one of the problems with Hybrids, breeders stick exotic names on them with little information. I'm not against hybrids. I recently saw an advertisement for Turbo corns. The breeder explains they are 75% corn and 25% gopher snake. Not a very impressive looking snake, but at least you know what your getting.

I dont think its a corn-king hybrid... Im going with a Corn-Milk hybrid... thats the common color for a Milk thats why im going with that... but that is one very pretty snake... I always wanted corns to come in that color! And now they do!

While I was at the Mid Atlantic Show, I walked by Mark Bell's tables and saw quite a few corn snake hybrids there. This one pictured in this thread looks quite a bit like a sinaloan x corn snake cross to me. I know there are a bunch of those floating around and the Bells do export quite a bit, so that would be my guess.

Interesting looking animals, but not my cup of tea. I have pretty much given up on buying any more animals from anyone because of all of the mislabeled hybrids that are now floating around out there. And there are darn few people whom I would trust to tell me the truth about what they were selling.

I have found this while browsing and he's a breeder in West Yorkshire , and I bought my corn from a shop in Wakefield so perhaps its one of his. Scroll down to the velvet corn, this is mixed with kingsnake like I thought mine might be.
