Bedding for carpet python

Addict!
Hi

I started building a isolation viv that would be used until a snake is to big for it. Now i don't feel the need to hold a snake and the only reason i hold my corn is when i switch him to the feeding bin or when he has some sort of issue (bad shed for example)

Now i was thinking of getting vinyl for bedding for my future carpet python so i could feed in the viv and when a burrowing species it put in there i could still just put bedding in over the vinyl. Would this work? Any other suggestions?

P.S.: i only considering this because it's an semi-arboreal species, i would not use this for a corn because they love to dig. :D

I would use paper or aspen. They normally feed off a perch so either substrate would be fine IMO. I use both. Paper for new ones and hatchlings and then aspen for all the others.

I can't use aspen, i've got asthma and it makes me squeak lol. And i hate paper when it comes to cleaning up.
I do use cocofiber (eco earth) for my corn so maybe that's an option.

I came up with the idea by seeing a cayman viv on an other forum and it seemed to work well for cleaning up. You would just swipe it up with paper towel and then go after it with a product for cleaning vivs. And i need to put vinyl (or linoleum, or something else) in anyway because the wood i used would stain otherwise.
