Best Movie Of All Time!!!!!!!!

OMG!! I just saw the best film I have ever seen in my entire life!! It's the "Planet Terror" segment of Grindhouse. The one written and directed by Robert Rodriguez. Just incredible.

Segment two, "Death Proof," written and directed by Quentin Tarantino, was cool but slow to get going, but ended with the best car chase of all time. Ever.

So two excellent films! What a great Easter.

I'm buying it the second it comes out on DVD. If any of my friends want to go see it, I'm going again. Three hours! Good thing there was a short "break" in the middle, with the trailers.

Yeah I saw it on Friday was really good, I liked Planet Terror more was too much talking in Deathproof for my liking, but the car chase was awesome. The trailers for the other movies that they showed inbetween were the best, my favorite was hobo with a shotgun lol.

I have not seen it but Rodriguez and Tarrantino are pure legends!!

They both do scenes in the films Sin City and Four Rooms. They work really well together.

I will have to see grindhouse asap

And who is Rose McGowan? She is HOT. (And I'm not even into that, but you know what I mean.) Where has she been??

And Zoe Bell- geez! She was The Bride's stunt double.

Nanci

Rose played on the t.v. show charmed with Alyssa Milano (from who the boss) and another girl (not sure of her name) about witshes in San Fransisco. she also dated rocker Marilyn Manson for awhile a few years ago and you are right she is hot (even with a gun for a leg)

Dammit, I knew it was a risk to look through this thread. That's just cold, ruining the movie like that.

Ha yea Rose McGowan...well you wouldn't say no would you :)

El Mariachi is cool too.

Sin City is a film you either like or hate i beleive. Its a comic book adaptation, not everyones cuppa!

Sin City Review <=====

Shame Grindhouse isn;t even released untill about June or July over here in Medievil Britain :)

Rose McGowen's been in quite a few movies, including Scream and Jawbreaker. Crazy chick (litterally) but amazingly beautiful (allthough Rosario Dawson is pretty fancy, herself).

So, your post was the final straw and the boy and I went to go see it tonight (today, rather...started at 4:40...out at..8???).

Fan...FREAKING...tastic.

Planet Terror was a whole lotta fun...but man, I'm completely in love with Death Proof. I hear some people complaining tha it drags a bit, and that the female banter is tiresome...I dunno....I thought every moment of the film was wonderfully written...and just perfect. The end of that movie had me grinning from ear to ear. That, along with the trailers...just a perfect film experience.

The only thing that sucks is finding the time to pee! HAHAHA!

No one ruined it. I didn't know the machine gun leg was in every single poster for the film. I must have forgotten it when I saw the film.

I just want to say I am equally in love with Quentin Tarantino and Rose McGowan. (Just bought Death Proof, and the lap dance scene is not cut!!)

Didn't get to see it when it was out in theaters - will have to buy it so I can check it out. It looked awesome.

I haven't seen Planet Terror yet, but I saw Death Proof a few weeks ago. I thought it was pretty cool. I don't know if it makes me a bad person, but I was rooting for Stuntman Mike through the whole movie. :grin01:

STUNTMAN MIKE: Well in Hollywood anybody fool enough to throw themselves down a flight of stairs, can usually find somebody to pay ya' fer it. But really, I got into the business the way most people get in the stunt business.

PAM: And how's that?

STUNTMAN MIKE: My brother got me in it.

PAM: Who's your brother?

STUNTMAN MIKE: Stuntman Bob.

I'm just starting the second part, with the new girlfriends. I don't know how long it's been going on, but it's all new, none of it was in the theatre version...

Dean, you're sick.

I want to be that stunt girl chick- Zoey- I want her life.

Yeah Death Proof was awesome! I didn't think it was slow at all- though Quinten's usual pop culture dialogs are starting to wear on me.. I liked that in Resevoir Dogs (the "Like a Virgin" conversation and the tipping etc...) But I feel like it's the same people talking in EVERY MOVIE SINCE!! The action was phenomenal though as always. I've also heard the other one is better, but I won't see it till it comes out on video.. We spend alot in this house on rentals; 2 Netflix memberships and one Blockbuster Access.
My sister and I watched Death Proof with my neice and nephew though, and Jaynie (sister) and I were remembering how movies used to really look like that (referring to the "film" effects he used..) and the kids could hardly believe it. I'd forgotten it myself till you see film sort of break and pop and you want to throw popcorn, lol.
Very cool though.
