Big Red the Hypo-Bloodred

I really look forward to more pics of this guy. I love the look of hypo-bloods. I am sure yours will be a stellar example of the morph!!

I somehow forgot to post a picture of Big Red when he shed on the 10th, so here is a shot from today...

Ya know, I hadn't really noticed till you mentioned it. He has really changed a lot already. :D

How long till he fills in all red on his head you think?

Not sure about the red color since I've been in corns all of 5mths now! All I know is he is very pretty now & love the tail! :D

Here is a shot of Big Red, enjoying his tub in the new rack:

He is losing most of the gray on his head and his colors seem to be intensifying. He has eaten fuzzies for his last two meal, I reckon he will start growing like a weed now. :grin01:

Time for Big Red's "Gustav Update"!

This guy is a looker. Unfortunately he seems to live up to the "bloodred's are notorious non-eaters" theory. He skips meals a LOT. He has JUST moved up to eating skull-split fuzzies (just 1 per feeding, once a week). He ate single pinks, then double pinks for a long time. He ONLY eats if the mouse is split-skulled or totally split in half lengthwise. I'm hoping he grows out of it soon. :D

He's looking great! That's weird- all my bloodred snakes are good eaters. The smallest, Jasmine, is out cruising the day after feeding- I think she would eat every day if I let her. The only one who's a little weird is Pepper, the avalanche, but all he demands is total silence and to be covered...

Ah, you haven't seen the OTHER snakes I got at the same time as him last year. The posts I have made so far today are all from my second batch of snakes from last year. The first batch snakes (Big Red) is one, are WAY bigger. Hopefully I'll get to them tomorrow. :D They eat 2 large fuzzies once a week right now, where B.R. is only eating one small fuzz once a week.

Don't get me wrong I think he is OK in size, but not exactly exploding in growth. Which is ok, he is just growing at his own pace, I don't rush him. :D

He's looking good! Nice diffusion!! I still have two that are right around that size- the others are nearing 200...
