Mike,
I was thinking about starting a thread similar to this one, but with a different topic. A few months ago, we discussed Bloodreds in depth. I have hatched out four clutches of Hets for Bloodred. It all four clutches 100% have the stripe down the middle of their bellies and a couple have what most would consider a Bloodred belly.
Do your Hets for Bloodred have the stripe down the middle of the belly instead of the connecting checker board pattern?
I know many of you have brought this up in the past, but it is interesting to see it with my own eyes. There is not much difference in the hatchings appearance otherwise, except for some of them have partial gray heads.
I have also been hatching out a lot of Hets for Striped and have noticed the same stripe down the middle of there bellies as well. This has not been the case with the Hets for Motley.
