wow,

how old is that little one?
and is she going to keep those gorgeous colours into adulthood?

I'm loving milks right now, their colours and neat little personalities make them one of my favourite Collubrids.

UGH. I orignally wanted a milk snake for my first snake, but ended up getting a corn (with the thinking that she'd be more friendly). Seeing pretty snakes like this make me want another one!

Wow, he's incredible. Can I ask where he came from? I'm trying to source some to import but sometimes that can be overwhelming!

How neat!

The only crazy aberrant milks I ever produced were gaigae! As cool as they were, all turned jet black.

yeah I have ready that a few of the milk subspecies tend to fade out as they mature, I went with the Mexican subspecies because their known to keep their bright clean banding all their lives. :) and they stay small for a milk.

and they keep their jet black heads, unlike the Nelson's and sinaloan, which end up with a white tipped face that I'm not fond of.. I love my boys CLEAN black face. Makes him look like a little banddit!

Thanks guys and gals. This guy came from Sean @ VMS. He is only about a month old, his pattern and colors should stay close to the same, sometimes the tips of the scales turn black, but he should stay relatively close to the same.
