breeding 2 different corn snakes

I have a straight up regular corn snake and an Anery corn that I wan't to breed. Will there be any problems, and does anyone have any idea what they would look like?

If there are no hidden hets on either, then you will get all normal babies which would be het for anery.

I wonder what your reasoning would be for breeding these snakes though, as it can be very difficult to find homes for "normal" cornsnakes. If you are interested in trying breeding, I would do a bit more research and perhaps get some more desirable morphs to work with then you may have an easier time with re-homing your babies.

Are you familiar with the general consensus on proper breeding? 3 feet, 300 grams, 3 years?

Good luck! It's VERY addictive and tons of fun to breed corns!

I just figured I'd try it. the 2 corns i have aren't 3 years old yet. but like I said, I like to try it. Just like to try different thing. Thanks for the consensus on breeding. The only thing I didn't know was the 3 years thing. Thanks

Even more than age, I think weight is a very important factor. A female needs to be at LEAST 300 grams and preferably over that. They lose a lot of weight after they lay and some will have a very difficult time recovering if they lose too much. If you do get babies, how are you planning on selling them? How are you going to ship if you have to? There is more to this than just deciding you want to try it. I sell normal types, but my normal types are locality Okeetees so it's a bit easier to sell them. Still, I have a few left. Are you going to have room for a bunch of baby tubs? Can you afford to feed them....sometimes for a long while or are you just going to dump them at some local petstore with no regard to what happens to them later?

Are you saying you are going to breed your corn snakes even if they aren't the right size and age??
