I thought I'd post and ask you guys what I should do because I'm a little torn.
Last year I was looking for a female to go with my male. I didn't plan to breed anything until I had my own house and more room. So, I was directed to a website that might have what I was looking for. I contacted the girl to ask if she had any snakes that looked like my kingsnake, Jormungandr. She was quick to respond and told me she didn't have any but was looking for a snake like mine for one of her females. She then asked if she could buy him from me or do a breeding loan. We did a breeding loan.
Now my little guy is on another breeding loan with a member on this site. I remember her joking about a breeding loan when I first posted pictures of Jormungandr. Then when I see her looking for a male that fit my guys description on fauna, I contacted her and asked if she remembered me. To make a long story short we are doing a breeding loan.
Now I have no problem with this. However the first breeding loans agreement was that I would get first pick of up to two females and I have the same agreement with the second breeding loan. However I cannot accept up to 4 new snakes. I'm already in a bind to get Jormungandr a new cage when he gets back and find a place to put him.
My question is what do I do? Do I take the hatchlings and try to figure out what to do with them or hope no one is mad when I say I don't want any?
Also I don't want to be mean to other people who have asked about breeding loans with him. Most people expect you to take half the clutch and I'm lucky these two women I've dealt with have been so nice.
Anyway it all boils down to that I feel obligated to take hatchlings even though I can only possibly take one and I don't want to pick one over another's clutch and make the other person mad.
