Bullfrog and Water Lily

Nanci

Alien Lover
I was surprised this morning when I got within ten feet of the bullfrog. So I went back in the house and came back out with the camera! I got as close as I dared from the front, and then snuck up behind him, and then he dived for safety.

He's lived here three years. I don't know where he came from. Bullfrogs aren't native to Florida. He's my big frog in a small pond! He travels all around the patio area to whatever body of water he fancies.

Beautiful, what is the color of the lily. We have two I think one is 'Rembrandt', but I'm not home so can't check. The frog is awesome ours are about an inch long at the most.

Cool Nanci! We've got bullfrogs here, but something has been killing them off over the last few years. We used to have thousands in my area but it's rare to hear them these days.

Everytime you post a pic of a snake in your pond I think "I know that bullfrog is eyeing it up". Better not let any "red" morph corns in that pond, frogs love (hate) the color red ;). Great pic Nanci :)

I know! There is definitely no unsupervised swimming any more. I'm really only comfortable if I know he's somewhere else...
