Is it safe for the snakes well being if i buy a snake from the states and get it delivered to britain. ?

Safe? Absolutely.
However, the cost involved is quite pricey. I don't know anyone who would pay for only a single snake to be shipped over seas. You'll also have a hard time finding someone who can export them.
 
Last year it cost me (or I guess the customer) about $200.00 total to ship a snake overseas (less per snake if over one). They do get delivered to the Hamm show and so you would have to go pick them up there.

Im from scotland and im trying to persuade my partner to let me get a boa or a python but finding hatchlings is hard lol

Weird, for some reason I thought exporting them overseas was much more costly.
