im trying to post a pic but it says its too big. please tell me what a byte is and how i can make it smaller.

you didnt have to get anew member name just to post pics. all you need to do is log on. anyway on to the question at hand. why dont you try to cut the picture down since the forum is stating that it is to big.:IMHO

i made the pic smaller, it still said that there were too many bytes. i dont know how to reduce the byte #.
 
If you have any photo software, you should be able to resize your pic. I've discovered that the size of a pic (often in KB or MB) shown by the software may not be the same as when you save it in another location (such as MyDocuments), and it will often not match what this forum will take. Just keep resizing it and trying to post it until it finally makes it here. Then see what size your software says it is and remember that for future pics. As an example, the below pic, saved in MyDocuments, is 76KB, but in my software, Ulead Photo Express 2, it's 227KB. Go figure!

They are Jojo (the normal) and Jynx (the aneryth), 2 sibling males I just had to keep from last year....there was just something about them that said so. Now I have to find mates for them that aren't related.
