Can Anyone Tell Me What This Guy is?

Hi all,

I just bought this snake today at our "usual" reptile shop, but we don't know exactly what kind of corn or snake period he is. Do any of you have any ideas?

Thanks a bunch,

Looks kinda Hypoish. Man were they feeding that snake before selling it??

CAV,

He is definitely a thin guy! But I will plump him up as soon as I can! I'm really good at making the little scrawny snakes, not so scrawny anymore!!

I love his pattern/color, his ventral has small tiny dots of black and his eyes are black. Not that that helps anything, but he is a really neat looking guy in my opinion. But again, no idea "what" he is!

Thanks a bunch!

I agree, my first thought were it looks hypoish also. However that third pic makes me wonder. Never seen any hypo patterns look like that. The melanine seems to be sort of washed out. Pretty hard to tell.

Good luck,
Quigs

If the belly has no checkers it could be a Bloodred. A very light colored at that. If the belly has some checkering it could be a Bloodred outcross or a Hypo. Only breeding tests will tell the truth then ;)

Marcel,

His belly has some checkering closer to his head and the further you get from his head the less checkering he has.

I've tried to get some pics of his belly (w/ my brother in the background!), but they didn't turn out very well. In addition, his arrowhead shape on his head is very light, can only see it if you really look. That's part of the reason I was wondering if he was corn or could he be some other kind of rat snake?

Thanks a lot for helping me out!

Looking at these checkers on the belly of yours I think itis a Hypo. Because Bloodred outcross have this white opening in the middle of the bellie. (Checkers not all over across which makes it appear there is a white line on the belly. Here a Bloodred outcross belly of one of mine:
