One of these corns is not like the others, one of these corns just doesn't belong,..... :dancer:

Only one of these corns has a clear ventral, can you guess which one? 1st pic, 2nd pic, 3rd pic, or 4th?

Gotta love the Milksnake Phase, it keeps me humble. :headbang:
Sorry for the fuzzy # 2 pic, it wouldn't hold still!

I'm guessing pic #1 (has the "striped" neck instead of the "motley" neck. I picked it because I've seen the "motley" neck in normal patterned morphs, but never the "stripe" in anything that didn't have a clear ventral.

I am still a real novice at snake keeping and enjoying learning so (if it does not spoil your quiz) could you explain what 'A clear ventral' is?
:shrugs:
Thanks

I'm guessing the one in your hand.

Yeah, MilkMots can be a real mind teaser! I'm still trying to figure out what the deal is with that line. It's almost like a seperate Motley trait.

i agree with Frank and Clint both. The one in your hand.... i have a feeling is in your hand for a reason :) . Congrats!

I think that its #1~
somehow I got the feeling that it's him....don't know...maybe just a wild guess

but yeah I really like those milk snkae phase...but this year I had a real pain with them...
I have 1.3 of them...1.0 Has a sudden 'floppy' tail.the tail part just went floppy and has all these kinks at the end....it's kind of like broken. 0.1 died due to egg bound 0.1 Just died for no apparent reason 0.1 Has a small clutch with all infertile eggs plus 1 egg bound....geeze...my luck with the milk snake phase this year....

Hoping that its going to be better when I breed the 0.1 Amel Milk Snake phase...geeze~

Anyway nice looking hatchlings~
They look great~

Well I picked #2. Only reason was because it was the one that looked most "normal" and therefor would be the least likely to have a clear ventral. Though I am starting to have second thoughts about if I want to get into Milk Mots or not.

I'm saying number 1 for the same reasons as the others. It looks like a stripe.....starting one anyway. Cindy: A clear ventral is one without checkering.

I guess you've been looking at a lot of Milk Mots too, Clint. The answer is #4, the one in my hand. Here is a ventral pic of #1 and #4. This morph is very fun, you never know what is going to come out, and once it comes out, you still don't know what it is. :crazy02: Again sorry for the poor pic quality on #1, it really has better color than that, oh well!

Why I selected #4

Now that I know I picked the correct one, I'll be brave enough to explain why I selected #4....
Actually there are two reasons....:dancer:
1. The blotches on the lower half of the body have pointed corners typical of some motleys. The others don't.
2. You had it in your hand which makes it easier to turn the snake over to show the ventral side.LOL
Clint, are my reasons similiar to yours?
Frank Pinello

Well, one of the two reasons match.

The hand tipped me off, sure sign that there was something different about it since it was the only one being held.

There are some odd things going on in the Milksnake phase and the MilkMots. Let's just say that Milksnake phase and Motley don't play together nicely (or at least the way other mutations act with Motley).

:crazy02:

I'm not real sure where this genetic variation is going but it's throwing some interesting looking critters.

This one has Okeetee, Motley and Milksnake phase lines.

LOL, and to think, it was the only one in my hand only because it was the last of four to be photographed. Everytime I reached in and pulled one out (not to mention that I moved them around and checked thier bellies to find some that were tough to determine) they just got crazier and crazier. By the time I got to #4 there was no way my hand could leave the deli cup long enough to take a picture. Of the group the only one I am hanging on to for sure is actually #1 believe it or not! He's got some really nice banding when he stops being stripey. ;)
