Looking for my first corn and I like the Cayenne Fire, Super Sunglow Motley, and the Abbott's Reverse Okeetee. I'm looking for a really bright red. Not overly white on the Okeetee. I want a baby male.

I found this red and white and orange baby today at the local store. Any ideas of what it is? :shrugs: Thanks!

The red one is amel, and the white one snow, which is amel + anery. If you want red, you can't get much better than a cayenne. Here is my 1.5 year old male:

Thanks! I want to make sure I get the one I really want. I'm in the process of making sure my habitat is set up properly (temp and humidity and whatnot). I'll likely have to order one. The Super Sunglow Motley and the Cayenne Fire are expensive from VMS that I saw. I see a lot of Reverse Okeetee and only VMS has "Abbotts" in the description. I want bright red surrounded by thick white, but not a white base that washes out the rest of the snake. I see too many that are washed out and I'm afraid of getting something like that.

I like the picture of the adult at http://www.vmsherp.com/ImagePages/Corns/AlbinoOkeetee.htm but they just sold their only male hatchling right before I had my setup finalized.
 
You should get one from the source anyway, Don Soderberg of South Mountain Reptiles. Quality is always worth a little extra cash. Otherwise such a thing you described (bright red with white borders) does exist, but it's pretty hard to get ahold of. I'm not sure what Tony is going to be asking for his Red Zeppelin corns, but I doubt they're going to be cheap. Don has a similar project with his newly announced Cherry corns. Dunno. That look is definitely a goal of mine though. It's pretty stunning to see.
