We just recently purchased a baby corn snake from Petco (I know :twoguns: ) and are new to keeping them. I did my research before hand and knew what I was getting into, but am still a newbie. The thing that confuses me the most is identifying colors. So my main question is, can you tell me what our new baby would be defined as? My second question is: he/she (not sure which) was shedding when we bought him/her. It wasn't a very good shed (came off in small pieces) and I ended up having to soak him/her in water to get it all to come off. My big worry is that the eye scales didn't come off, how can I tell? Should I not worry and just check the next shed, or should I have it looked at? Thanks for all your help.

Looks like you got yourself a Ghost (Anery + Hypo). He/She is a pretty snake.

Eye caps ... check to see if the eyes look clear &/or that you do not see little pieces, of dry skin, that appear to be attached to the edges of the eye/s. If the eyes are clear, and you do not see the dry skin particles (that appear attached to the edges of the eye/s),... then, in all likelihood, the eye caps came off.
