I'll be away for nine days and there is no one who can feed my corn he is about 8 months old and is in blue I tried to feed him earlier but he wouldn't eat.If I take kim with me in a critter keeper in the car wil the vibrations bother him? It is about a 9 hour drive.
reply quickly please, I'm leaving shortly
Thanks.

He should be fine. He may get a little agitated, but should be no worse for the wear as long as you keep his temperatures within their normal range.

Also, just make sure he can't "pop" the little lid on his critter keeper open (my nine-month old can). It'd probably be pretty tricky to find a little snake that got loose in a car. Nothing a little duct tape won't prevent though. ;)

Have a nice trip!

Not a good idea

Personally, I'd suggest leaving him at home and just making sure we has a large enough water bowl to make it through the week.

Traveling for that distance and then spending 9 days in a constantly changing microenvironment is stressful at best.

I agree with Cav. Even if little dude goes 2 weeks without food, it won't be as stressful to him as 2 car trips and a different environment in the meanwhile.

We go away for 4-5 days often enough and I don't worry a bit about my snakes as long as they have water for the whole time.

It's too bad you don't have someone to at least check that his shed was complete. I would think otherwise, he'd be perfectly o.k. if left for the 9 days.

I agree with everyone with leaving him at home. Being in shed can be steessful enough as it is, and taking him along will only make it worse. Put in a few waterdishes and maybe make a humid hide for him quickly, that give him the oppertunity to shed without any distractions, and when you come back you can help him out if he needs it.

Hmmm...it appears that I did not fully think my answer through before posting (perhaps I should wait until I am more awake next time). Anyway, I suppose the constantly changing environment would not be ideal for the little guy, but he should hopefully still be alright. Perhaps the others are right (they did bring up some pretty valid points), several of them have a lot more experience than me anyway. I'll bow out now.

Ghost_Corn, hopefully your little guy is alright, and I'm sorry if my advice led to anything unfortunate. Hope you're still enjoying your trip!
