That's a darn good looking snake! Made me think of that "Yellow Okeetee/Golden Corn" thread. Wouldn't that be a great pairing!

That is a lovely snake. Where'd you get him from?

And I dunno, maybe he'd prefer the sports section? Or the comics? ;)

thanks guys.. i guess it dose kinda look like that "yellow okeetee".. im trying to find this guy a nice female amel.. i picked him up at a show a few months ago

Almost looks as if he tried to create a hide for himself. Does he normally have hides in there with him? Maybe he is asking for one...

no he tore that up with it.. or he craps on them. i usually go threw like 5 hides every few days with my snakes because they do that.

Just one question - is there nornally nothing in his cage besides the water and the newspaper?

aurora just asked me that?

I have no idea what you mean with that...

i usually have to hides in there with him

I just asked myself how he could crush that paper when there are other things also into the cage. Perhaps he made it wet through climbing through the water.

i dont know how he did it.. i didnt open his lid and watch him crush the paper

lol my cats do that with blankets. Maybe he saw an article on modern art and this was his own take? :grin01:

Heh, my hatchlings seem to do that a lot with their paper towels. Infuriating as can be when they then poop on the bottom of the tub. And its nice to see someone else who utilizes those long Sterilites for adults, like I do. I don't like seeing adults crammed into 28qts.

And since when are hides required in a shallow tub? Yes, they're nice but not always necessary. Not to mention he said he had hides in there, but the snake already destroyed them. So I guess "reading" is an essential task sometimes. ;)

Half the time they ignore any hide I put in there and curl up under the paper anyway. Or with them rearranging the paper, the hide ends up upside down. And if they're in a rack, the rack itself is a hide, technically. Lots of different variables.

Ha, made me laugh :grin01:

My boy likes to hide under the paper towel in his hide. Double whammy. Thats why he's Mr. Sneaky. Camouflage! ::insert mission impossible theme here::

thanks misty!..all my 05s and some of the adults never use their hides either..and yes i think it is totally diffrent when using a rack system... its alot better than fish tanks, and easier to clean
