cheap female kingsnake

That makes sense, then! Good luck in your search. If I were you, I'd save a bit more to make sure you get the Cal king you want, and then if you go to a reptile show, you'll be all set.

There is so much more that goes into breeding jungle corns than just tossing a king in with a corn from what I understand. I would do tons more research before making that decision.

i have an empty tank with substrate that i can put in at any time a large supply of hides that are natural and sanitized, and my grandparents by enough food for all of my snakes every week only lately they haven't been feeding as much it being winter and all, i do need to get a new heat lamp seeing as my old one broke the other day, the only reason i use a heat lamp is because the room they are in stays between 70-80 degrees Fahrenheit.

Please reconsider buying your snake based on price alone, and be careful with "cheap" animals. You do get what you pay for, and especially if you want to breed you are better off spending a bit on a quality snake so you can produce animals that are worth something to the people you want to sell to. (And that is assuming there ARE people that would readily buy from you- something to think about because it might cost your grandparents more than $20 to keep feeding each of those babies while you wait to sell them)
Unless I know the seller and they are giving me a good deal out of friendship I would be extremely suspicious of a snake that is $20. I would basically wonder what is wrong with it to be so cheap. And if I knew a breeder selected their breeding stock based on how inexpensive they were I would most likely steer clear of that breeder.
Not to seem harsh but if you are not able to buy food and a proper heating set up by yourself yet, you probably are better off not breeding until you can afford those things instead of relying on somebody else.

i was just wondering what i could get for what i have now, i probably wont get one yet anyways i will save more money, and the only reason my grandparents pay for the food is because they wont let me buy my pets food with my own money which they say i need to save.

I have this young female Cali King available, but the shipping alone would probably be about $60

I think that you do need to save your money, but not for a snake! You are only 15, you will be out on your own sooner than you think, put that $20 in the bank and start saving for your future. There will always be snakes available, please wait until you are mature and secure enough to pay for it and care for it on your own.

Dear lord, when did I start sounding like my mom??? But looking back, she was absolutely right!

im not exactly sure what i am actually saving it for a snake was just one of my many ideas, at one point i told myself i would save up for a laptop, at another a car at another a house, for all i know my grandparents might just buy me a new snake from the local pet store(i have no idea if the pet store knows the gender of their snakes but if its young enough i know how to properly pop a snake)i currently have two ten gallon tanks, a 20 gallon and a large breeder probably around 40 gallons, one ten gallon is empty the other one has my Chilean rose hair tarantula, i used to have a four foot king snake in the breeder that i suspected was a female(she was too old to pop and i don't know of anyone qualified to probe in my area) at the that time i had two tarantulas the king snake and a corn snake, one day i wasn't at my grandparents house and my grandpa fed the king snake he forgot to latch the tank and he fell asleep you can guess what happened next, their was a snow and a ghost corn snake at the pet store one got sold before they got the money to buy one when they got there they had no corn snakes, a few weeks later they went to the pet store when it restocked and there was a female snow and a male anery, they called me and i decided on the male anery, he was a little bit smaller than the snow but he did have a better temperament, then a few weeks ago one of my tarantulas died

anerythristic/okeete,

I hope you don't get discouraged.
There are lots of nice snakes in the $25 to $50 range. I have probably a dozen I purchased under $35 that are spectacular looking and great eaters! As mentioned, take your time and find a good quality snake NOT just a cheap one.
As ''mom'' smigon said, you need to get your own financial planning done for your future so your snake project doesn't suffer from it.
If you find that snake your looking for and go forward with breeding them in a few years then pay attention to the market and have an exit plan for your future hatchlings. You don't want to have to cull your first ever hatchlings or also as mentioned, feeding a dozen snakes for the rest of their lives. They are NOT things, they are LIVING things that deserve to be treated fairly and with respect so plan your future with that in mind.
Make sure there is a future market if your plan is to do hybrids ( I like them ) so your not hurting the market with more "beanie baby'' snakes. Snakes that only have a high value to you and no one else.
OK somehow I'm trying to encourage you :D
You are the future of the reptile trade. Without guys ( and gals ) like you coming into the trade then it would eventually die. Everybody selling at shows want YOU and more like you to come and purchase at their table. They will work hard to gain your trust because they know you could be a repeat customer for a long time.
I congratulate you for coming to this forum and asking good questions. Keep an open mind and absorb all the info you can. :)
Education is the most powerful weapon.......

It wouldnt be that easy to discourage me im very stubborn( i think it runs in my family) but it does help when you get in an argument with someone who says all snakes are indefinitely evil because of what the bible says(Im a christian and so is the other person) i told them that if all snakes were evil than id be dead because of the several 3ft and up king snakes ive had and caught and the snakes i currently have.

You also may want to check with local rescues/shelters-especially those specializing in cats/dogs. Often they get people who want to give up snakes, and don't have the knowledge/facilities to care for them. Both of our snakes were owner-relinquished, complete with habitat (although in both cases we did make major upgrades on the habitat-for Wadjet, that included a whole new viv, and for Pinkie, that included a 2nd UTH and two thermostats, so it's still not necessarily cheap to adopt a snake). You don't get to see a baby grow up and change, but you do get to make a difference in the life of an animal.

I will also add-it's surprising what comes through rescues. A female king snake is not at all out of the realm of possibility, especially if you're in an area where they're commonly sold in pet stores.

as far as i know there is only one pet store that sell snakes in my area it has sold king corns boas pythons and maybe a few others but the only snakes they had more than one at a time is the kings and corns, maybe when i graduate from college i can make a nonvenomous snake rescue and/or my snake breeding business that would be cool, maybe start out working at the local pet store to educate people on the snakes there(the worker who got my corn snake out was scared to touch it!)
