Cheveyo and Catori

ArpeggioAngel

Around Here Somewhere....
My impulse buys at Daytona from Rich.

The female caught my eye first with the oranges that were showing through her color and her slightly thicker borders...just didn't look any "normal" lavenders I had seen. Rich saw me checking her out - comparing her against the other lavenders he had and mentioned she was from his sunkissed lavender project.....So I bought her not knowing what I was going to do with her - I just had to have her. As I stood at the table a little longer chatting with Rich, Vinny and Lara...I spotted the male who also stood out from the other lavenders on the table....also poss het sunkissed...

Cheveyo - the male - (Hopi Indian name meaning Spirit Warrior) and trust me - he has a LOT of spirit...BIG tail rattler....

Catori - the female - (Hopi name meaing Spirit) - and this girl has a lot of spunk too - for such a little one she is VERY feisty...I got a few bites from her today and she is always trying to fling herself out of my hand:

These two are going to take a lot of work to settle them down!

Suh-weeet lavs, Katie. I'd like to say that their attitude is a good sign that they're het sunkissed, but I have an '06 lav that is DEFINITELY not, and she's one mean snake. I really hope that this pair turns out to be het. :)

Nice lavs! Don't think that I could've resisted them either... :grin01:

Hope they turn out to be het sunkissed too!

Oh how beautiful! If I see one like those at the reptile expo in a few weeks, I can guarantee it will come home with me! Do lavendars with that coloring lose their color as they grow?

It is hard to tell ....some of them develop more color and some of them dull out as they get older. I am hoping because these guys are possible het sunkissed that their color will improve with age.
