"Chondro" Identification

Tula_Montage

It's Jager time!
I found pictures of this very strange snake online. Look closley at the pattern, or lack off. Theres something odd about the eyes too...And the strangest thing, no face pits. Is this intergraded chondros? What esle could be in the mix to cause this subtle physical appearance. I have never seen pictures of these before.

Mystery snake, very subtle pattern... No pits?! All three captives in US zoo's.

Chondro, look at that face!

Are they not Emerald three boa's then? I always mix those up with 'Chondro's'but I think one of the major differences is that they have less heat pits, or is it the other way around?

Positive they are not ETB's.... Too small, no pits, not the right pattern/colour or shape.

That last picture of the Chondro is creepy, yet amazingly beautiful. I'd LOVE to get my hands on one of those, just to play with and hold it. I'm sure they're way expensive, so I'm not even going to let myself want one, haha.

I'm not good at this, so take it with a grain of salt...

But could it be a viper? I don't think they have the heat pits on the front of their nose like the chondro's do...Though I think they are wider in the head region...

No, those aren't vipers.

Definatly chondro's I would say....

Looks like they still might have a couple pits towards the front. Maybe it's just a random mutation, maybe they did intergrade with something else somewhere along the line? :shrugs:

They look like chonros to me. I think you can't see the pits in the photos because of the angle.

The first picture CLEARLY shows NO pits... I don't understand why you wouldn't be able to see them if they were there. :shrugs:

They are not vipers thats for sure. I would say chondros with a little tweaking?!

Because the ones along the lower jaw are covered up and the ones on the upper jaw face forward.

I can see the pits on the upper jaw on all three. On the first one, you can see the depression in the lower jaw where the pits look like they're going to start, and then the snake's body covers the rest. :shrugs:

Man I just dont' see the "pit's" like I do in that last pic. If thier born with pits, even at the angle of the pics I'd think we would be able to see the pits a bit more?

It was more the solid colours that threw me off.. You dont usually see chondros with solid colours unless they are yellow adults :shrugs:
