Finally took some pictures of Fuego and Utari today. Haven't had them out in quite some time. I think they're looking good although I couldn't capture the blue on them like I wanted.

Drool, such beauties! I love the blues. Blue and green are my favorite colors, and I love seeing them on chondros.
 
Well then I wish I'd captured it better. Fuego has a beautiful wash of blue on her sides. In the picture it looks like a different shade of green,but it's really an aqua blue. Utari has blue all thru her. Her belly has a ton and her sides.
 
I can't believe that's my little Fuego!!! She's changed so much! She was the prettiest baby, but now she's gorgeous!!
 
She did indeed grow up Nanci! It will be interesting to see what her eye color changes to.
 
They are both pretty tame. Neither bite, they are a bit nervous though. Tempest and Whisper is much more mellow than these two. Fuego is less nervous than Utari though. She will climb up you when you're trying to take pictures and she also likes checking out the camera as does Utari. Makes it hard to photograph them.
 
I pretty much abandoned my adventures with Chondros after my Biak whom I sold a year after getting her.
I love the colors but the attitude usually makes them too uncuddly and unhandable...
It's my loss really, I simply have to touch and poke my snakes else I enjoy the experience far less.

i was curious to how you handle them? snake hook is what i mostly find owners using to get off the perch's. if so how do you get the hook in there w/out hurting the snake. in there i mean between the body and perch
 
I LOVE THESE GUYS!! I have always wanted one..maybe when I get out of school I will get myself one.

I've never used a snake hook with these snakes. I use my hands. If the snake is aggressive, I might put on some smooth leather gloves, but for the most part they are easy enough to handle. Tempest beats any cornsnake for temperament hand's down. Biaks are known for their nippiness, however Fuego is a Biak/PNG and she is perfectly fine to handle. She's never bitten. If you want cuddly, I'd stay away from Biaks. Sorong types are usually docile. Both of mine are dog tame.
 
I basically scoop my hands under their coils and lift them off the branch. If you do it right, the tail won't even get a grip. They don't coil around the branch, rather, they sort of drape back and forth over it. So the only thing they usually grip with is their tail. If they do get the tail hold, I will hold the body with one hand, and tickle the tail off with the other.
