Chrysopelea ... the 'flying snake'

Unable to View..

For some reason I tried viewing these and I got the dreaded "Red X" where the video should be.. , Marshall P..

I can see them- and I've seen them before, when I looked them up after seeing them for sale on ks.com. Elle says they are amostly wild-caught, though, and difficult to get feeding. (I wasn't looking to buy one, we were just talking about them.) They sure are cool, though.

Those are lovely snakes. I can get my paws on CB specimens, but I guess their availability differs depending on where you are.

They are Nanci... And they make awful captives :(

In saying that I know a few people who keep them with no problems, however they have vast experince with strange little snakes ;)

Marshall;
The vids are in Quicktime, some won't work for me from work, but all work at home in Firefox.
The gliding footage is worth the trouble it takes to get them working.

It is awesome to watch :)

We have a snake that presents similar behaviour... Philodryas Baroni also glide very well, however they cannot gide any great distance... Masters in moving, I will give them that :)

thanks for posting the video, I haven't seen footage of a flying snake in years. I also agree, that the gliding footage is definitely worth the trouble :cool:

got it!...

Thanx, I downloaded the quicktime plugin for firefox & it works, you're right too, that is cool..., have to file a flight plan for that Snake, hehe! Marsh..

They had this on TV today. Discovery channel. Also a Austrialian Herpotologist who went to Japan to see a Haku (?) up close and personal. :crazy02:
