Condensation question

I've read some suggestions to cover eggs with a layer of moss or paper towel to prevent condensation from dripping directly onto the eggs? Is this correct or does it matter? Thanks.

I normally use moss over the eggs (they're sitting in a layer of damp vermiculite), but have tried paper towel for the first time this year and it works just as well.

I like the idea that moss has mild anti-fungal qualities, so I'll probably stick with that unless I run out unexpectedly (first clutch this year caught me on the hop a bit).

I tried paper towels this year, but found they dried out too quickly. I think my climate is simply too dry.

I'm actually using newspaper on top. I read that somewhere and it seems to be working really well. If it dries out too much, I can spray it with a water bottle without worrying about spraying the eggs. Earlier, I had tried using paper towel, but found that it fell apart too quick, into little pieces. I also like the newspaper because it's simple to just lift up quickly and check the eggs, without causing too much of a temp fluxuation. I'm sure any of the three ways work, though.
