Coral snow and coral ghost

I've ready just about everything I can find on this forum concerning coral snow and coral ghost and how to produce them. I cannot seem to find anything that I could even begin to call "definative". I would like to know what I need (genetics wise) to create either or both of these morphs. I find them to be very beautiful and would very much like to work with them. Thanks in advance for the info.

from what i know, coral snows are hypo, amel and anery. coral ghosts would be anery and strawberry.
iansvivarium.com would be a lovely place to look to see the genetic make up for certain morphs :)

coral ghosts would be anery and strawberry.

Shouldn't hypo also be in the mix there?

Also, I thought there was still a large mystery surrounding what exactly a "coral snow" is? Or perhaps I am wrong. I thought the gene just was in the same locale as hypo? :shrugs:

strawberry is a type of hypo which is co dom TO hypo :p

Now you lost me :(
Hypo still has to be in the mix though, otherwise it would just be a strawberry anery? My five seconds of googling showed that the locus would be (Hs + Hh) strawberry and hypo?
meh, I suck at genetics.

Thanks thus far. The info here is more clear and consise than anything I have seen thus far. I'll check out iansviv.

While hypo snows, sometimes called coral snows, and coral ghosts, sometimes called strawberry anerys, MAY have the bright pink colors, strawberry alone may not create the bright pinks you might be looking for. It is believed that there is something else going on, such as red factor/red coat as well as selective breeding.

Strawberry and hypo A reside at the same locus, the same principle as amel and ultra. You can have a snake homozygous for hypo A, homozygous for strawberry and then one that has one of each gene that will also express the trait, often looking somewhere in between.

If you are in the market for one of the bright pink snows or ghosts, yourbest bet is to find a breeder that already has them and is continuing the line to produce more. Dave Partington has purchased much of JMG Reptiles' line and I know that Walter Smith is also producing them. You can also find a few more breeders that have some. Tom Tuttle recently placed a classified selling his nice JMG coral ghost male. I have a male also that I bred to a tequila sunrise snow and some of the offspring may end up with nice pink color, but I won't have any for sale for a few years yet that may be what you're looking for..
