Cornsnake morph guide, 2009

Just for the record, everyone who left in a huff back during the chat blowup is welcomed to come back here. No grudges on my part. Life is too short to dwell on the past.

I don't really understand why someone wouldn't come back. That is their choice, and I can't help but feel that it is their loss. I was around when all that went down too, but it was so long ago and to not come back is to miss out because like it or not this is the most populated corn forum. It would seem silly to hold a grudge that long. I remember there were some great genetics and other interesting discussions back then and I personally would be glad if they returned.

Can you imagine if Rich Z wrote a book? Not so much a care guide, but just the story of his life with cornsnakes. The excitement of making all the new morphs! The trials of caring for 4000 snakes, or whatever it is. The most exciting projects ever! The projects that didn't work out as planned.

Actually I did have someone ask me about writing a book from a different perspective than the others. I just told him "maybe some day....."

It's probably just because they have their own "home" now, and they are comfortable there and prefer the style of it. I like to visit, once in a while, but for some reason it just doesn't stick with me.

I don't visit very often either. Probably because there just isn't much going on and I don't care much for the format, especially the classifieds. When I can't even find a date as to when an ad was posted, I don't look at it. Besides, just about every thread is a repeat of one over here. The only exceptions are those posted by the few people that don't visit here anymore, any there aren't too many of those.

I left because the moderator(s) are pretty heavy and free-handed with the delete button. It's the same reason I don't post on another large forum much anymore - why enter a discussion when they are just going to delete it at the slightest sign that you don't agree with the moderators 100%? Heavy deletion and censorship seems to be the death sentence of pretty much any board I've ever been on.

I have been to several other corn forums. But I haven't found any to my liking as well as this one. The interesting people and (usually) civil debates, the lack of censorship, the activity level, and the general atmosphere here appeal to me. This is the place that I send all of my newbie customers to, as well as just people who email me with questions or interest in corns. I tell them that this forum is my online home, and the best place to find me.

Although I miss Chuck and Connie, they don't post much on ANY forum anymore. They are busy doing their own projects. And with a new baby, I doubt they will find MORE time than they had before, lol!

My 2009 Morph Guide just arrived today. I'm very pleased with it overall, and hopefully I'll now be asking less dumb questions. ;)

As did mine. Interesting idea on making visual indentificatings using a 100x microscope. Hope its reliable :)

Anyone ever gotten their electronic version of the genetics for herpers? I bought it at noon with paypal and I still haven't gotten my password. I turned off all safety and spam stuff on my email and did a reset for the password but still nothing. I'm getting email from others. I emailed them about an hour ago asking about it but was wondering if anyone has had this issue before.

I'm a collector too ; have them all (signed)

Been to KL's site and have her book, and another breeder's site who has quite a few pics (name escapes me at the moment. :shrugs::confused: ) but is this book pretty complete????

I have a couple that I've rehomed and have been unable to identify the morph...and the prev. "owner" didn't know either. I'd REAAAAALLY like to have some color pics to help ID what they are. < Helps me learn more about 'em too....esp. since I've been taking Kish the amel, and Winter the snow to cub scout meetings and events for the local herp society. >

Suggestions are appreciated!
