Cornsnakes and their water

I had Adrien (my nieces snake) in the bathtub for feeding last Friday and I noticed he was drinking water drips around the drain. I filled a cup full of water and offered it to him. He literally drank half the cup! :eek1: . I've never seen anything like that! He just kept going and going and going. . . And yes, he has a big water dish in his viv lol  .

They're probably "guzzling" when you're not looking :grin01:
Something that I started doing recently, after a feed, I gently remove them from their feeding container and "steer" their head towards the water bowl. 9 out of 10, they suck the water down like there's no tomorrow! It's cool to see those "cheeks" expanding and contracting! :wavey:

i take my snake out daily and fill up a little cup of water and hang him over it. id say about every two days he leans in and takes a nice big drink. his cheeks move in and out its pretty crazy.
