I wasn't sure where to post this since I have two questions about different topics, so sorry if this is in the wrong place!
First, is it normal for them to have a slightly darker coloration down where I suppose their stomach is? Darwin, from his vent area up his body about 2 inches is a little darker than the rest of him. He's a striped butter, and in the area I mentioned his yellow color turns a little darker, almost like a greenish. I tried to get a picture but when I walked with him over to get my camera he started rattling and didn't seem very happy, so I wanted to leave him alone (this was about 10 minutes into our second handling).
Also, how long does it normally take them to digest? I read on here someone said around 72 hours, but it's been over 72 hours and he hasn't pooped. Should I be worried? I handled him, fully expecting to have him go on me (
uke01: ) but he didn't. His first feeding with me was Friday night, and he did spend the following day under his hot side hide, under the paper towels right above the heat mat.
Thanks for the help!!
