Creamsical blood corn snakes

We produced probable bloodorange (diffused or bloodred creamsicles or diffused) and bloodroot (diffused or bloodred rootbeers) last year. We still need to confirm that the gene matches to the diffused (bloodred) gene in corns since ours were from individuals in which the gene was not intentionally introduced and it is not clear what the impact of pure emoryi in the lines may be on pattern.

The mother was a cross between a creamsicle and a pure emoryi and she was bred back to her creamsicle father to produce this clutch. The breeder of the creamsicle father indicated that bloodred may have been in the line but could not confirm.

clear belly, reduced head pattern, diffused side pattern

some diffusion evident as she matures but obviously as a result of outcross to emoryi there is a loss of good diffusion and color intensity

None are for sale - we are confirming genetics first by breeding dam to this blood male next year - he was a bit too small for the big rootbeer female this year.

have you tried to put a visual cream to the blood then put the gene back??

Breeding cream to blood was in my plans but will be working with these now that I have them. I still plan to introduce known bloodred but will be doing it into cinnamon (hypo A emoryi/corn) het amel (creamsicle) to get the pattern into both morphs at the same time.
