Crestie Personalities?

jennrosefx

*Insert Witty Title Here*
So, while researching cresties, I keep seeing it mentioned about their great "personalities". What I want are stories... first hand accounts of your crestie showing some charming (or even not-so-charming) personality. I'm allready sold on the photogenic-ness, the general ease of care, the hardiness... now make my reptile lovin heart melt.

Ready.....

GO!

I'm a new crestie owner, I've had Boogie since about the 19th of August..

Over the last two weeks he anticipates the evening arrival of his cricket treat..lol. I know that as soon as its dark enough, I can go and look in his viv, and find him sitting on his little log, watching for me to open the screen and drop in his cricket..lol...

everynight, he's there..waiting and watching..his little eyes enormous and black with excitement, waiting and watching for the cricket to fall..

Well, last night I didn't have any crickets left, so there he was, on his log, waiting for the cricket to fall....but nope...all I did was give him CGD and pears..lol...he sat in the same spot for 4 hours, twitching with excitement every time someone went near his viv..lol...I felt so guilty..lol Even my kids felt bad for him..lol

So, guess where I am going today..to get more crickets..lol

My crestie would come when I would "call" him! As soon as he heard me shaking up the crickets with calcium dust he would come flying out from whereever he was hiding and stare up at me with those big eyes just waiting for the "crickets from heaven" routine!

They are hilarious...

They jump around, have the cutest faces....

Just all and all very fun to watch.

I love my two their the best.

Hunter my big 2006 male is real easy and fun to hold doesn't try to jump out of my hand very much. He recently got over what i call his his 'phobia' of crickets...before i would put crickets in his cage and he'd scurry as fast as he could up the glass side and hang from the lid to get away from the crickets and i'd have to 'rescue' him and remove the crix. but now that i went down a size in crix he eats them.

Kyanite my 2007 male is very spazztic and doesn't hold still so he only get minimal handling though i'm trying to hold him more now so that maybe he'll calm down some.

I'd recommend cresties to anyone their great little lizards who are beautiful, cute and have the best personalities.

Thanks guys!

I'm pretty sure I need one of these... but since it will likely be 6 months-a year before I can make that happen (want to get one at a show... never gotten to buy anything at a show, and there's always such a ridiculously huge selection). So hearing stories in the meantime are great!

When I had my crestie, I should have named him batman... One time I gave him some crickets for a treat and while stuck to a leaf in the middle of his viv, he launched at the cricket, kept his hein legs on the leaf, killed the cricket, held the head in his hands and ate his body while holding it.

One time my brother was holding one of his cresties near his computer desk.. he had a elevated kind of shelf on the desk with some receipts on it, but they were half way off of the shelf, poor little crestie tried to jump on the reciepts they came tumbling down and he crashed upside down! Poor thing looked like he had a heart attack for a couple seconds, but he snapped out of it and was perfectly fine and cheerful as always after.
