Err....I feel bad admitting...any snake who passes away here gets fed to Grendel. (UNLESS I have any worry about illness, then there would be a necropsy)

He also gets slugs and stillborn hatchlings.

You know what? That is the circle of life! Don't feel bad admitting it. The only thing that I would say "why?" about would be if someone tossed the dead snake into a garbage bin where it does nothing good for the ecology. The way everyone has told their tale is a positive way, it is what made them feel best about the situation and something was gained by the loss.
