I think you did miss the point. Having attended is not a prerequisite. However, if I was going to make a T-Shirt commemorating an event that I had never been to... I'd make sure I did my research to find out if the event already had a name instead of renaming it to suit my tastes because I made the T-Shirt.

The way I am looking at it is that a shirt is being designed to commemorate an event that is (hopefully) going to happen this year, not a past event. Now of course if the name "annual" is used which I don't think was even on the poll initially, then yeah that implies the same event every year. But if the shirt just mentions "2007, Daytona, Corn Snakes...", what have you...that really has nothing to do with last years get together or what it was nicknamed. Just my opinion.

I think there is a lot of people trying to demonize the Source here. When really if you omitted all reference to the Source and people who reside there, it wouldn't change the direction of this thread at all. There would still be "Cornsnake.com" people asking for the original name to be considered and it would still be shot down and they would still be a little disappointed in that.
Sorry, but never demonized the Source, not once. Show me where?! My one and only reference to the Source was replying to Mr. Keys and his left field rant directed at me. I indicated that I implied the Source and those members there that were the creators of the slogan that was put into question. I know full well there are people which frequent both sites, I have zero issue with that. :shrugs:

My only issue was, and is, that publicly the information was originally presented to Stef as coming from the 'creators of the slogan' who 'gave their permission'. Looking at the time line of posts the public suggestions were done 2nd party after she set up the poll. Sorry for stepping in and defending her efforts. Guess that made me a butt. She has since explained her reason for not including it in the poll.

I'm sure something I said will be taken wrong, Stef IF I ordered a T-shirt could I get a pitchfork and a torch on the front?! I'm still miffed by that . . .

Steph offered to make a shirt design, after the idea was flung around last year. She tried, and obviously not everyone was going to or could approve the thought or idea.*lol* OMG. It’s a shirt people... I truly agree with Jeff here.. If you like the idea, buy a shirt.. If you don't like the shirt idea, don't buy one.. *rotflmao*

Russell mentioned the following ....

Get off your high horse and quit trying to dray the other people who don't support this site any more through the mud. Yes, they are entitled to their opinions,

Yup, it ( the opinion ) better not vary slightly from the main stream either place.. Seems like pitchforks and torches are held highly by both communities.. *rotflmao* Either way I look at it, the pot keeps calling the kettle black and it seems everyone rides a Clydesdale these days...Oh irony and redundancy, or was that divide and conquer. Of course the burns and holes heal, but I never forget who and where I got them from.. :wavey:

Regards.. Tim of T and J
