Before I get into the graphics part of this, I wanted to know everyones opinions on font. Here are five font options. Keep in mind these T-Shirts will be on black and will need to be readable on the smaller front image. Any recommendations on what the shirt should say would be much appreciated! :)

Those who wish to sponsor the T-Shirt (get your logo on the back), please contact me!

Just a question....... How many who live in Florida actually wear black T-shirts? Black gets hot as blazes in the strong Florida sunlight, so personally I may wear a black shirt MAYBE once or twice a year. If the fabric is thick, I will likely never wear it.

But that's just my opinion and am curious about what others think. :shrugs:

I was going to go white, but I was discouraged by another member. :grin01: I guess I need a poll for black or white now, huh?

Are we going to be able to get them as sleeveless or tanks? Remember this is Florida and walking into the blazing sun in black will cause spontaneous combustion... Whoooosh, and a puff of ash... I wouldn't limit it to CS.com either as discussed last year, it's just the Cornsnake Dinner Club, IIRC...

Sponsors will need to supply me a 3" x 3" logo at 300dpi and a $25 sponsorship fee. I will take names/logos for the sponsorships, but I am not ready to collect the funds. I need to figure out what exactly we're getting, how many & the costs.

I wish we could post more then one poll in a thread! :crazy02:

Different text options:

"2007 Daytona Beach Cornsnake Gathering"
"2007 Daytona Beach Cornsnake Conference"
"2007 Daytona Beach Cornsnake Crowd"
"2007 Daytona Beach Cornsnake Crew"

We also need to decide on Black or White!

Another poll...

I agree that for Florida a white t-shirt is a better option.

And I like the "Cornsnake Crew"!! I think it is very catchy.

Rich is right - Florida in August is NOT a good place for a black t shirt! I find that a lot of my customers like the gray shirts. It doesn't get dirty as easily as white, and both men and women don't mind wearing it. It usually costs less to print on light colors than dark colors, too. But white will show every little spot, and always reminds me of undershirts. If people don't like gray (goes with everything, though!), then some other light, neutral color, such as light tan, might work.

I like the designs with Cornsnake Crew or Cornsnake Crowd also. Then we could try to get everyone interested in corns to wear them, whether they frequent this forum or not. But of course, it will be those from this forum who are most likely to even know about them. If there are still some left by Expo time, maybe those of us with tables can sell them at the Expo.

Since Daytona is the biggest show around, I would love to see any cornsnake gathering / dinner be all inclusive of all corn enthusiasts, regardless of whether they are computer literate, or which forums they may frequent.

I missed that the first time through. I like it - very cute! Although some people reading it will imagine us eating cornsnakes, lol! Maybe somebody could draw a cute, colorful corn with a napkin around his neck, sitting at a gourmet table setting with a covered platter in front of him, or something similar.

It could be very cute, and apply to any gathering of the "club". We could put the date and place on it, and each time new ones are printed, new places could be added (smaller print, I guess). So eventually you could have a list of several expos and years that the "dinner club" had met.

Or you could just have the date and place of that particular meeting. Or just a year, or no dates at all. Or just the picture and text. Several possibilities to ponder.

I know there is a thread on the other forum going about the show and I have been pm'ing with one member over there about the t-shirts. I know there are still some bad feelings going around, but I think this is a good opportunity for everyone to get together and have a good time. This member in particular agreed that we can all have fun and a coke!!

How would everyone feel if I let the members over there know that there is a t-shirt being worked on? I think it would only be fair and not further the rift if they were all given the opportunity (if they are interested of course) of getting a shirt as well. And of course, the more people we have wearing them and advertising cornsnakes in general and some breeders who want to sponsor - then I think it is better for the cornsnake community all the way around!

They will have to come here to vote on matters, but I have no problem with you notifying them.

Kathy, I was planning on getting 50 or so extra printed in case anyone wanted extras or some people miss this whole thread. Obviously those people won't get there name on the shirt, but at least they can have one. If anyone would like a few to put on there table, let me know!

I think maybe I'll just get shirts in Grey, White & Black, that way everyone can pick what the want (within what's available). If we get the sponsorship, that will make that very easy. :)

I would rep you again, but I need to spread myself around a little more first!

If you are mostly printing presold shirts, the color variety sounds great. For the extras you print, you should probably just choose the most popular color. Otherwise, I know people will want the size that is only in the color they don't want - been there, done that, lol!

I saw the text discussion, but didn't see any discussion about photo / drawings for it. Did I miss it, or are we not to that part yet?

That's because I didn't get there yet (as the text poll thread states). ;)

Soooooooo...I've been researching shirt options...And I think I'm going to go with 100% Cotton Hanes Tagless T's, 1 color front, 1 color back. At this time, it puts the T-Shirts at $9.50 a pop (for any color) plus $4.50 for those who wish to have there name on the back (I'm just having the printer do the custom names). I can get XXL for those who want them. The bulk extras I'm just going to get in white.
