Dealer List

I've been searching for dealers and I've only been able to find a few and most don' thave much in the way of corns. I'm well familiar with shopping for tarantulas from online dealers, and I'm shocked at how hard it is to find cornsnake dealers. Anybody out there got a list of good dealers?

What do you mean by dealers: wholesalers, jobbers, or breeders? Breeders are a dime a dozen, and you are posting on the forum of one of the best ones out there (serpenco.com). Jobbers are, regretfully, a dying breed. I suspect that might be what you are looking for, though. Sorry.

There are LOTS of wholesalers, though. I am not recommending any, but examples would be Glade's Herp, Strictly Reptiles, Cal-Zoo, and some others. MANY breeders, especially medium and small sized breeders, will sell their annual production at wholesale buyers to almost any buyer....as long as the buyer purchases them in quantity. All you can do is ask.

If you'd say what you are looking for more specifically, someone her might be able to help you more.

I don't know what a jobber is. What I mean by dealer is someone who sells snakes to the public via their website. They can be a breeder or a reseller. I'm not sure what exactly I want yet, and I like looking at dealer sites to get an idea of what is available in helping me figure that out.

In the Tarantula World there are about a dozen "Tarantula dealers" people who make their living wholely or in part by selling tarantulas, then there are many many small time breeder who just sell the few species that they are breeding.

I was just wondering if there was a group of major cornsnake dealers to be able to browse their sites and shop around for price.

Ok, I'm new... I know Kathy Love and I can see your link in your sig D80, but who are those other ones?

A "jobber" is kind of like an older term for "middle man." They used to be popular in some of the animal trades.

You just sound like you want a breeder. There are HUNDREDS of breeders that make a substantial portion of their income from breeding snakes - and thousands that do it more as a hobby that a true income-generating business. Check the signatures of almost everyone posting here for a link o their site.

serpenco.com, cornsnakes.net, and cornutopia.com are good ones. Don't exclude, however, those posting here and on other forums/classifieds, BHB Enterprises, etc.

Just do a google cearch on "corn snake breeders" and "cornsnake breeders." You'll find a bunch. Google "cornsnake classifieds," too. There are literally too many to list.

If you are looking for some one local, you will find them at the St. Louis Reptile show on Sunday. I know a couple people that breed corns in MO and I am in southern IL. :)

An excellent place to start are the Member Forums:

http://www.cornsnakes.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=36

Most of these are individual breeders. You can also check out all the Contributing Members (those whose name is in that red/maroon instead of black) as they are often breeders as well and have links to their websites in their signatures. The For Sale forum(s) will also tell you who many of the breeders are and if they have current snakes for sale.
