Well Apparently my posts earlier was not in good standard for this forum because it was deleted without my knowledge. I am sorry if my post was unwelcomed here , or out of standards for the site, but since I put it in General Chit Chat, I assumed it was an open place and okay to posts my thoughts.

I know the forum needs rules and boundaries so chaos doesnt take over, but IN the future if someone gets time , Please pm me or email me if I posts something wrong so I can know what I did wrong at the time, instead of just finding the posts was deleted later.

All in all, let it be known that I appreciate your efforts at moderating this site.

What happened was, you need to be a contributing member of the site to post for sale ads. Which you would find out by reading the sticky in the for sale section, but since it wasn't corns, you didn't look at that section. That's all.

Only contributors are allowed to post ads, yes. However, you can't create a post in that forum without being a contributor. So I really do wish people would stop with the jumping down others throats about being a contributor to post in that forum since Rich has it set up that way already.

Dawn, were you responding to an older post of yours, and/or has your membership expired?
 
I'm not jumping down anyone's throat!!

The post in question was today, and in General Chit Chat, since the Cornsnakes for Sale section is cornsnakes only.

Well I am looking through my control panel and it looks like my membership must have expired.

For what its worth, Had I known that I would not have posted what I did but now I know..so be it. I have been around the site long enough to know the basic rules of having to be a contributor to post sales ads, thus my confusion.

In general , I still ask if my post is going to be deleted in the future, please give me the courtesy of letting me know what the problem is. Thanks for your help. I will be sure to pay my yearly dues sometime today.

Hi Dawn. For some reason you have Private Messaging disabled in your options, so I couldn't PM you. I emailed you 30 seconds after I moved the thread to a holding area. I received reports on the thread, and I couldn't find anything indicating that you are a contributing member, so I moved it. In that email I explained this, and I also told you that if a mistake has been made, or if you renew your membership, I'll move the thread to the "For Sale" subforum (I've seen non-corns advertised there).

Usually the system generates an email when your membership is about to expire, but if you didn't receive my email, maybe you didn't get that one either. :shrugs:

Let me know if there's anything I can do to help you out.

Thanks Dean...I will check on the control panel settings when I go to repay contributor dues. I did not receive notice that dues were due again so I had no idea it had expired.

Honestly this is just a minor thing but my week has been hectic and busy and at this point minor things are more frustrating than normal. Thanks for you thoughts and courtesies. As I said I appreciate the way the forum is being managed.

OKAY! I have repaid my dues, turned on private messaging, and fixed any other little thingies I could find in the control panel :) There should be no more issues now...hopefully.

There is ONE more issue, and I'm very sorry for the inconvenience. I'm not listed as a mod in the "holding area" I told you about, so I can't move the thread. I think the best (and quickest) thing to do would be to re-post in the "For Sale" subforum. Here's the text:


Need to reduce my collection!

Hey there everyone,

My collection has gotten out of control it seems, and I am feeling the pressure to sell some of my snakes that I do not use in my breeding program. If anyone is interested in some very good natured king or Milk snakes to add to their collection please let me know. I will sell them at a very reasonable price to a good home.

I have several morphs of male 2005 Cal Kings, and 05 male Nelsons Milksnake, an 05 Mexican Black Kingsnake, and an 04 male grayband King snake to sell. All these animals are healthy, robust looking animals.

There are others in the collection I would be willing to sell possibly too. The main focus for me this next month must be to make some room! Just email me at [email protected] if your looking for any of these types of animals.
