Did you get anything nice?

I was trying not to spend a whole lot for Christmas as I am currently without job, but I got a really nice printer. It also copies, scans, and faxes... I realy only needed a printer to get some resumes etc done, but the nicer one was on sale so... :dancer:
Anybody else care to share? Was Santa good to you?

On Black Friday (day after Thanksgiving) I bought myself a new computer. I got a great deal on it. A $180 instant rebate, along with a $270 mail-in rebate. It came with a printer and monitor. Then I bought Guild Wars with some Christmas money. I also got a $10 Moxie Java Coffee gift card.

Congrats on the printer -- and may Santa land a post-Xmas job in your lap, pronto! :)

I got a nice watch for Xmas -- totally unexpected, from the boyfriend. :) And a nice jewelry case -- which he got the idea for after helping me untangle a messy wad of necklaces & earrings. :) My mom gave me the Rick Bayless cookbook, "Everyday Mexican" -- yum! Some colleagues gave me some nice things: Shea butter & socks for my dry feet (we talk pedicures, so it wasn't an insult!), candles, a gorgeous Indian pillow case, a shirt...altogether, nice stuff. :)

(The boyfriend also agreed to letting me get two hatchlings from Michelle...I was angling for more, he said no, but when I pleaded educational purposes, I got two...;) Can't complain!)

My students gave me a whole variety of crap -- cookies, Payless & Starbucks gift cards, stickers & classroom award certificates, Avon perfume (without fail, I get a bottle of perfume a year, and every year, I tell them that I'm allergic to the stuff!)...it's the thought that counts, though! One girl made a bracelet for me using the colors of her country's flag (Kenya) -- so sweet & cute. :) A lot of them just make cards for me -- and to each one, I give them a thank you card. They love it. And, this year I gave to them a pencil set that had each of their names embossed on the pencils...they're so funny: they love to get pencils from me, but with their own name on it? Oh, wow -- you'd think that I just gave them the Wii! :p As always, it's the little things...;)

Lets see...

My mom and dad got me a goodie box full of all sorts of my favorite snacks and candies -- about a $40-50 worth. I about died when I opened it and saw all of it, haha. My mom totally rocks.

My sister got me a Hollister leather bracelet and braided necklace, along with something fun for the girlfriend and me.

My girlfriend got me an American Eagle Hooded Sweatshirt.

Then they all threw in a little bit of cash and got me Guitar Hero 3 w/ Guitar to satisfy my gaming needs over the holidays.

Nothing too terribly expensive, but the day I start caring about price and quantity over sentiment is the day eskimos run out of ice.

I got slippers, I got Flash Focus for my DS, a HIM CD, a big pencil and some bath supplies. Nothing snakey, no money... (well my grandma gave me $50, but I spent it on my mom's gift)
(I Am planning on getting a Lav. Motley, though... my mom think I'm joking. LOL)

Sounds like everyone had a nice holiday!
I got some gift cards for Target and Ritz Camera, movies (Disneys Robin Hood, The Little Mermaid and the Jungle Book), a dragonfly ID book, a beautiful bracelet from my grandmother, and some Christmas ornaments that my parents brought back from their trip to Israel.

I had requested a gift certificate to order mice - my siblings couldn't see giving me a gift of mice for Christmas, but to be funny - they bought a toy rat and froze it in a block of ice and gave it to me. We had a good laugh over that one!!

Go for it! I love when they think that you're joking! (You can tell that I don't have kids yet -- that I'm still in "favorite aunt" mode...;) ) Just don't get kicked out of the house...:)

When I told her she didn't scream at me like usual... she just said he's pretty. I'm making sure she nows it's coming though, he's on our desktop... And I always tell her that he's $100 off (2 kink on tail), and hes a cool morph so this is a great opportunity.

My boyfriend and I were NOT going to get each other anything big for Christmas... but he got me a day at the Spa, tickets to see WICKED!!!!! and a gift certificate to Victoria's secret.
So I guess I should REALLY look forward to when we ARE going to get big gifts for one another! :)

Happy Holidays Everyone!!

I had a great holiday, however exhausted myself with everything that needed to get done. I've spent the last two days in bed..... watching old Firefly episodes. It's been awesome. Although my kids don't appreciate it like I do. I've been quoting all day... "what happened to your room? Was is monkeys? Wild space monkeys?" She just rolls her eyes.

I bought myself all sorts of fun treasures, my favorite was a pair of Banded snakes from Michelle... pictures to follow... woo hoo!

Hope everyone had a great one..

Eriathiel,
You are going to LOVE Wicked. It has replaced Rent as my favorite musical of all time. My 07 hypo blood is named Elphaba, after the Wicked Witch of the West :)

Christmas was great around here. The Sunday before Christmas I got to see my sister and sister in law, who I never see enough of.
Christmas morning my mom and aunt came for breakfast and gift giving.
Christmas afternoon we went to the inlaws for dinner.
I got cash and a Visa check card, DVDs, some Land's End clothes (I love Land's End stuff), a step-stool so it's easier to reach the top shelf of my snake rack, a new wallet, a wicked snuggley housecoat, a pair of antique mouse doorstops, the latest Patricia Cornwell book, and more stuff I can't remember just now :)

I got a Wacom Intuos 6x8 tablet. *___* 1 gig ram for the computer, 2gig for the camera and a lot of art supplies.

I am SOOOO excited! I love the books, but I have not listened to the soundtrack or anything yet. I don't know if I should wait until the show to hear the music or do it before hand! :)

I listened before the show, and didnt regret it a bit!
There will be some questions in your head but seeing it will clear all that up.

It is so visually amazing....
I want to see it again....and again....and....:)
