Blaze seems to be getting a little pudgy. I can she skin betwwen scales and i can pinch skin from his mid body (not actually hurty pinch) and i think he is over weight. I can get pics right now could take a while. Any advive. he is 43" long about 2 years old and eats asmaller (not small) adult mouse which makes a good lump is it time for a diet?

I would imagine that the relatively sedentary lifestyle of captive snakes could contribute to weight problems, which could in turn shorten their life span. But they do need a certain amount of nutrients, so I wouldn't put him on a diet without making sure that he would still get enough nutritional value from it. An alternative would be to increase his activity level. My snakes love to climb on the rocking chair, and I allow them to do that about twice a week for 30 minutes or so. I think it helps them keep good muscle tone and the exercise may also contribute to better digestion.

I agree about the exercise. It could be hard as if you feed him less then he could still be hungry, I would of thought it is quite hard to but a snake on a diet. handle him more, let him swim in the bath, put climbing branchs in his viv/ or maybe your viv is too small for him to strech out and move comfortably.

He has branches and stuff

He has branches and every monday he has a "bath" but i might consiter doing it daily. His Viv is 3 feet long which is more than min. but i am going to make a 48"x24"x18" cage but not right now. Thanks for the advise. I have noticed since i 1st got him his activity level decreased (i no they are nocturnal that is what i am talking bout) but i think he is just adjusting
