Well, after four months of having Addy living on the stove in her hospital Sterilite, I've had enough. So I bought her a 66 qt Sterilite (on sale at Target, it's a sign!) and a couple new hides and moved her into the rack.
The reason she has stupid reptile carpet is because she swims a LOT and keeping paper towels dry is impossible. So now that she has "stuff," I'm going to see if she stays any drier without being a huge PITA and having to get changed every day. She still can't have aspen; her abcess is still not healed. In fact, I squeezed out a chunk of hardened something from it today- probably means she needs another round of antibiotics. Great.
She loves burrowing under reptile carpet anyway- she'll probably be ecstatic to have it again...She went into the slot that was holding Jasper's grown-up bin. I just put a lid on that and stored it away for when I get the new rack!
