All right, I know that people have been offering Gmail accounts for a while, but now they've given me 50 invites, and I don't even think I know that many people. So, if anyone wants one, or two, or half a dozen accounts, send me a PM with your email address and I'll send you an invite. :santa:
 
Gmail is an email account run by Google. Its set up really neat. You get a gigabyte of storage, and you can sort emails and search through them and all that jazz. Since they're still testing, you can only sign up through an invite. Y'wanna try it out? Since I've got 50 invites, and I'm sure others do too, it wouldn't be wasting it if you didn't like it.
 
I just got 50 invites also. It will probably go public soon so that anyone can sign up for free. If you havent tried it, I would highly recomend it to anyone.
 
The only way I'll send one out to you is if you PM me with your email address. I'm waaaay too lazy to figure out how to get ahold of you myself.
 
Ok one quick question about this gmail. I did everything right but I can not import my address book at all. It won't let me click on it. I can click on the add contact but nothing else! Any ideas what i am doing wrong?
 
I'm not sure about that. I've never imported contacts. It could be the browser you're using, because Gmail isn't fully supported on all browsers yet. Also, since they're still testing it out, it could just be a bug. Go ahead and tell them about it and they'll love you for it. You might get a cookie or something....

Which browser and mail client are you using? My security settings in IE won't even let me log in to gmail. No problems logging in with FireFox and importing the info. Do you have a popup blocker? I noticed that the add contact link changed the page while the import contacts link opened a popup.

You can use gmail through outlook (both oe, and ms office) and with thunderbirds (mozilla), just download the tool and then you can import and export your addy book using their tools (I use outllok express), and i can send instructions if you need them :noevil: .
