Hopefully im wrong about this but, my female corn snakes laid her first clutch of eggs ( 7 ) but they don't look very healthy,
they are all stuck together witch is normal i think but please correct if i am wrong as im totally new to this, the looks like what you call "slugs" and really deflated , they are being kept moist with damp woodchips and tissue in the incubator, they do still feel heavy but dont look like anything much.

ps. female ready to shed again

bad eggs

hi ben.

I am not an expert but from the little eperiance i have i will say this.......

GOOD EGGS feel dry to the touch, heavy firm and white.

BAD EGGS feel wet, slimey, soft and are the colour of sour milk.

the material you are using as incubation medium is not really moisture absorbent,i wouldrecomend moss or vermiculite, both work very well.

GOOD LUCK AND WELCOME TO THIS SITE...STEVE

Thanks! :D

Thanks steve i really appriciate your help,
they do feel , firm, dry and heavy and are certainly not the colour of sour milk but look like slugs lol.

thanks again;)
