Elder Abuse! Enough Is Enough!

Omg.....THANK YOU GEORGE! for sharing that with us!

I was very fortunate in that my sister was able to have an apartment built on the back of her house for my mother to live in, so we were able to avoid such abuse for mom. Mom passed away in november, and I to this day thank my sister everytime I speak to her for giving mom the quality life she deserved.

We have the same problems here in the good ol' USA and it saddens me so. Hopefully that video will open many peoples eyes!

Thank you again for sharing that video with us!

A few times at work we've had to take action when we've had unexplained injuries on patients when they're admitted, it's heartbreaking to have elderly or confused people treated badly, by their families or by carehomes. There is a whole adult protection procedure that has to be followed, in one case we were threatened by the son of a patient and it turned out he had previously chased a social worker with a shotgun but charges had been dropped! Security measures at the hospital had to be stepped up until he was arrested.
