Elemental Exotic's 2016 corn pairings

Tavia

Elemental Exotics
Have seen confirmed lockups between Max and Rhiannon. Repeat pairing.

Max, suspected Super Tessera het Caramel.

Rhiannon, Caramel Motley with no known hets.

And also a confirmed lock between Stormy and Vash. Stormy was paired with Badger a number of times but I'm thinking he is still a little too immature. He seemed to have no interest. So I paired her with Vash, they've had a clutch before, and they locked up within minutes.

Stormy, Phantom poss het amel.

Vash, Phantom, probable Platinum, het Anery A and Diffused.

Have had suspected locks with Viper and Fiona, though not confirmed.

Fiona, Honey het Diffused.

I can't wait to see what comes out of these pairings. Even though I'm not a breeder it is fun to follow, especially now that I've learned just a little bit about corn snake genetics. Congrats and best wishes!

Fiona looks like she will make some awesome clutches. I've never seen a corn snake look so blue.

Awesome! Paired both Max x Mudd and Viper x Fiona again this evening and had immediate, confirmed lockups with both pairs.

Stormy is starting to look a little gravid, so took some pictures of her a few days ago. She's our stockiest girl, so makes it harder to tell when she's gravid.

Now, Rhiannon is our slenderest girl and you can almost count her eggs just by looking at her.
She was laying along the top of her lay box the other day, so I snagged some pictures.

Fiona and Mudd are starting to look a little gravid but didn't take pictures of them.

I agree, the excitement sure is building here! Looking forward to those beautiful eggs to come.

On 4/6/16, Stormy laid 20 eggs, 3 definite duds and 2 iffy looking ones. Currently thinking 16 of them appear fertile.

Fiona laid 7 fertile eggs the same day.

Mudd shed what I believe to be her prelay shed last night and Rhiannon is currently about to shed.

Mudd laid her clutch last night!! Looks like 9 fertile and 5 somewhat iffy to sluggy looking. Put all the eggs in the incubator anyway, just in case.

Well, so far our egg season has been a little disappointing, mostly with the corns but a few of the other species too. Fiona laid 9 eggs, 7 of them fertile and currently doing well.

Stormy's clutch has had a number fail, not currently sure how many are still going strong but at least 10.

Mudd's clutch had a number of iffy ones and some fail too, down to 7 that are still looking great. Could be 1 or 2 more still doing well but I'm sure of 7.

And looks like Rhiannon has reabsorbed her eggs. :-(
Planning to pair them up again and see if she won't give me a later clutch, so haven't completely given up on them.

On a good note, I decided to see if Stormy would double clutch this year and paired her with Badger today. He must have gotten over his shyness, because they locked up within minutes!
